In the words of Terry Cameron:
"I have been a resident of Bluesky for 40 years. It's a darn good place to live. If there ever was a homegrown music festival it's the Bluesky Music Festival!
Starting with the dream to bring the joy and togetherness of live music to the community and surrounding areas of Bluesky. The man who made it happpend was Ray Hamel some 27 years ago. It all started with 2 flat deck trailers. Eventually the stage was built, which became the focus of many Bluefests organized primarily by Ray and Rob Bell. Until the volunteer spirit died out.
It sat vacant for many years, turning into a giant pigeon coop! I took it upon myself to make the music happen again, and with the help of friends we cleaned it up and put on the first Bluesky Picnic Jam in 2018.
Every year since (except for one due to COVID) it has grown and become ever better. Together with Kurt Furstenwerth, we continue to bring the Peace Country the best local bands and the joys that a great down home festival has to offer.
The blue sky is the limit!"
